There is a course I play once or twice a year that has a house that sticks out into the fairway in front of the tee box on a par 5. It was the first full size course that I had ever played and I proceeded to slice one right into the siding. I heard a yelp and the owner had been sitting on her patio. I apologized and she said "no worry, happens all of the time". She was sitting in front of a massive picture window that I had fortunately missed.
