The home course of my coach is a true challenge. The course is all bermuda. The rating is 75.3 and the slope is 144. THe length is almost 6900 yards with severe elevation. Every shot is uphill or downhill. Usually, the elevation is a one-two-three club difference.
The fairways width is average, but the rough is penal. You never have a even lie in the fairways, either above or below your feet by a minimum of four inches. In addition, you will experience numerous downhill lies. The approach shot ball flight requires the opposite of your lie 99% of the time(hook lie requiring a fade ball flight or fade lie requiring a draw ball flight).
The greens are augulated and roll around a 11-13 on the stimp meter. If you don't land the ball on the correct plateau, it is a challenge to two putt.
Every time I play this course, my entire game is tested.
