I was watching the guys in front of me tee off last night when one of them started chatting with me. He told me two guys in his group had never been on a course before. As I already mentioned, I was in a lovely mood so I told him that IMO they shouldn't be out there, but should have gone to the local par 3 their first time. Then since I was on a roll, I suggested they play from the forward tees especially on the first hole where the men hit over water. The poor guy was so dumbfounded that he hit his own tee shot in the water. Perhaps that was one time I should have kept my mouth shut.
