Well all I can add is that I have had the distinct privilege of playing with Lorena Ochoa when she was on the U of A women's team and she is EXTREMELY fun to play with to boot! Little quiet at first but after I took an 18 on a very difficult par 5 at Oro Valley CC, she actually congratulated me for finishing the hole and not giving up since I was playing with her, and one of their coaches or trainer I forget which!

From that point on they could tell I was REALLY intimidated, mainly because I was not at their level (High School Junior with a 16 HC) regardless of their gender, so they started to play around a little and see who could have the most sand saves, tree hits etc and still shoot low! Easily in the top 5 of my favorite golf outings for me EVER! Plus she has a great fluid swing and even with her not trying to hit greens she KILLED me! I actually am proud of the fact that I got her autograph BEFORE she made it big and whenever I am in the area of a LPGA where she is at I go to support her!

Just 3 months ago I also got the honor to play with Roger Clemens when he came down to see his son play for the CC Hooks, and same thing although this time HE hit it waaaaay right on #10 (Northshore CC Portland, TX).......he looks to my dad and I and says, "Wow the wind is really strong today huh?" Then his wife speaks up from the cart, "No honey you hit that god-AWFUL!" ROFL, my dad and I didn't know what to do............

Yet it was just fun to see how on the course walking to balls etc you just naturally talk with people who might/might not be famous yet you get to know them a little! So I would agree with the OP, and as far as women golfing go I am ALL for it, go get some, Ooh Rah! I for one LOVE it when a couple guys I know go pummeled by some of the solid women golfers I know down here! Heck I like good competition, period since I play up or down to my playing partners ability. Concentrate more with golfers better than I simply because I like to compete.
