I don't typically run into that here in the Madison area, especially early mornings. Obviously the Milwaukee are seems to be a lot worse.

Its like that at a lot of the courses Ive played in my area (Im about 30 minutes south of Madison).
Ive personally never played in Madison, but every year I think more and more than spending the $1,000+ for a membership at one of the nicer courses/country clubs would be worth it.
On the courses around here, if you tee off after 9:00am; youd better not be in a hurry becase you can pretty much plan on spending a fair amount of time waiting on slower players who too inconsiderate to let you play throuh.
Ive gone so far as to skip a hole or 2 just so that I dont spend my entire round waiting on a group ahead of me.
