If they are having issues with battery life being short, I can almost guarantee that is the reason there was no 4g included on this phone. 4g is a freaking battery hog, atlease lte is.

all I have to say is that you havnt seen bad battery life till you have used an htc thunderbolt in a 4g area when on the stock rom. The first day I had 4g on my thunderbolt it was in my pocket all day because I was climbing around in an attic pulling wire. the battery died in 7 hours vs about 20 hours in 3g. I went home that night and rooted it so I could get off the god awful stock rom.
[rolleyes]

Ive had my Thunderbolt for half a year and Houston has a very large area 4g coverage. I use my phone all day every day at work for email, flashlight, notes, office/excel, music, pictures, gps, phone calls, checking news. Its pretty much getting used all day like a workhorse. I start using the phone about 8am, I get home from work about 5-6pm, battery is usually at about 30% remaining. Still has enough juice to chat on the phone at night our play some angry birds while on the pot. Of course I keep an eye on what my phone is doing, I have a simple control panel for wifi, bluetooth, gps, brightness, auto sync etc, with a simple touch of my finger I keep them on or off. Also, I dont run live wallpapers and I dont crap my phone up wit ha bunch crappy apps.

My wife also has a t-bolt, if she charges it all night, it lasts all day. Id say that the tbolt lasts about 14 hours of moderate to heavy use, however, you have to charge it every night, even if you dont use the phone at all during the day, your battery will still drain out at about 20 hours or so. I dont mind charging my phone every night, as Im sleeping anyways, its worth the tradeoff to get insanely fast 4g speeds.
