Will it be comparable to the room in say my current impala or the charger?

I would say so. I've never driven a newer Impala, but I know I was far more comfortable in my Jetta than I was in a 2002ish Impala. It really depends on the car, I've been in Volvos that look like tanks, but feel cramped while driving. I know VW/Audi make a comfortable automobile. I could tilt the wheel, and put the seat back so far in the Jetta that it was hard to drive, for what it's worth.
