Based off a Mercedes platform.
Mercedes suspension.
Mercedes transmission.
And some more stuff.
Almost effectively a cheap Mercedes with a HEMI.

Do remember that Mercedes did own Chrysler for a while, so got a lot of Mercedes stuff.
3.0L Diesel was Mercedes.
Current Grand Cherokee shares a Mercedes platform.
5-Speeds are Mercedes.
Chrysler Crossfire is straight up Mercedes.

Plus a lot of the other smaller components that make a vehicle come from a Mercedes parts bin.

Chrysler has always had good/bad *cough*Mercedes*cough* relationships with other companies.
AMC basically helped make Jeep what it became.
Mitsubishi and Chrysler shared a sh/t ton of stuff during the 90's. The current I4 is Dodge, Hyundai, Kia designed of which Mitsubishi uses as well (and in the EvoX). Compass/Patriot share a similar platform for the Mitsu Lancer. Dodge, BMW and GM worked together on that Hybrid transmission.
And now Chrysler is owned by FIAT, so is going to get a lot of FIAT technology, components and platforms.
Sir, your lack of knowledge of cars is letting you down BADLY here. A machine (car in this case) is more than the sum of its parts (or should be).

Sharing a platform and a few other components has very little to do with how a car feels to own / drive / maintain.
