Hmm isn´t there something you can do about that ?
I mean you seriously seem to put alot of time and effort into your car, aren´t their any ways of getting a little cash back ? maybe a small company would like to sponsor you, etc ?
I don´t know, have you ever tried making a little dough on the side ?
I do it for fun. not for profit. I have never been a fan of the trash talking, street racing scene. Which is about the only way to make money in it. I do make car display posters in it, and I charge a hefty sum for my time and printing. But I don't do a large volume of them.

The car is a toy and constantly changing as I work towards it's ultimate goal. Street legal track car that retains all the amenities including features on new cars too. I installed a body control module from a newer car that allows for 15 minutes of retained acc. Power as well as remote access control. I will be installing a Bluetooth transmitter to allow the car to wirelessly transmit telemetry to my computer for data logging. Right now it uses a USB cable.

This year is focusing on accumulation of drivetrain Upgrades, re-doing the interior with added sound deadening and a better stereo system with hidden amps and a hidden sub.

I probably spend $1500 to $2000 a year on the various things.

I bough this car super cheap as a non-running junker and have been rebuilding it since. But it takes time an $$$.
