To make enough money to pay for your car you would have to pro race full time. Not feaseable to most of us. It's a labor of love.
I am close to considering the install of a 6pt roll bar that is welded to the B'pillars via gussets for extra rigidity. But then the car loses nearly all of its resale value because the next person would HAVE to want a race car.

I may just design some supplemental additions to the sub-frames I already have ready for install. Increased chassis stiffness will help the car alot.

______________

If only the transmission hadn't been messed up I think I would have broken into the 12's with the car. And considering the stock B-body stall only allows me to launch at 1200rpm max the car has a ton left for launch with better tires and a stall.

But its going 6spd so I haven't spent the $$$ there.

Been working on my friends LQ9 6.0L swap into his 30th Anniversary Z28. He had a LS1 swap, but it started knocking and wiped out a cam lobe, took about 1/8th of an inch off the top. Pics to follow.

We have access to a friend with a powdercoating setup. So we coated his valley cover, front/rear covers, pan, intake, fuel rails, valve covers, wheels...etc. If we could fit it into the oven we coated it.

The wheels look SICK in person and will stay clean forever thanks to the powdercoating's properties.

Specs:
LQ9 6.0L iron block
Ported heads, 320cfm+ intake
LS6 intake
Full exhaust
Mild cam, 231/237 @.050" lift, 112LSA.

Should be good for 450rwhp easy.

It'll be a beast. He's already talking about doing a turbo setup with a different cam in a few years using his current block. [help]

After we get his car out of the garage mines going in for its treatments.
