The best moving image ever seen? On TV, definitely it was. [yes]

We had the option to view Laser Disks either from a TV, Computer display or projected on a Silver Screen. The image quality was way better than from a TV broadcast or VCR.

DVD at its best quality only supported 30 minutes of video per side. So for a 2hr movie you'd have to switch the disc a minimum of 4 times. But that was one of the reasons it never caught on.
