We had the option to view Laser Disks either from a TV, Computer display or projected on a Silver Screen. The image quality was way better than from a TV broadcast or VCR.

Better than VHS? Most certainly (it's why I wanted one.

Better than broadcast TV? Maybe, if your reception was lousy; LD just had a standard PAL/NTSC image.
