As mentioned let the battery go through a few charges as I have noticed phones tend to hold a better charge after that. Also, keep in mind that while you think you may not be using the phone much, people have a tendency to use their new phone a lot more than they think they do when they first get it. I am not saying that is necessarily the case with you, I have just seen plenty of friends do it.
I usually would play with it constantly but it's been on my desk at work mainly.

I thought the live wallpaper would eat a load of battery, but apparently it's only responsible for 2% of the total use.

The ergonomics of the phone aren't a patch on the iPhone for sure. Just adjusting the volume seems to need two hands, same with everything else.
