You say that, but that's exactly what you had to do on the iPhone 3G.

A smartphone is a computer. A computer often gets a memory hogging app stuck. Should I take my computer back because a third party app keeps the processor working long after it should?
Depends if it's a compromise to kill the memory/battery hog I suppose.

Personally, I want something with a bit of grunt next phone I get. My current Blackberry feel's overwhelmed by anything other than calls and texts.
