is it just me, or doesn't it seem like in this day and age we could invent an ink that degrades over 5-10 years. You could charge more for it, and it would probably increase sales on fools like FAKE (sorry man, i like you but it is foolish to get a tattoo because a girl wants you, and doubly foolish to get initials) who would have few reservations if they knew 5-10 years down the road they wouldn't need laser removal surgery. Not to mention, all the old whores i see with tramp stamps. I am just saying, that most people I know would or would have gotten tattoos that disappear (except scarring) in the future had they had the choice.
There are temporary inks that last 5-7 years but the instability in the pigments you get @ 2 years before it looks like a sack of sh*t.

There was a legislation passed @ 12 years ago that meant some of the base heavy metal components used to make the pigment colour had to be a certain grade and so on.
This wiped out almost half the ink makers in the industry.
There was a rise in what then then called 'pre dispersed ink' this were in fact an liquid not a colloid like old pigments.

The new inks have less than 20 years and do break down quicker and easier than before - sadly!

Now as for laser i notice a couple of comments about laser work here, laser work is still in its infancy as a treatment its about 20 years old now but still its quite young as treatments go as technology changes so the application process changes too.

If you have something that have a multi phase duel switch laser on it you can hit just about every colour we got, white is the hardest as it poses less resistance than the others.
You should be able to break down all pigments and be left with virtually no trace what so ever.

People are not getting trained in this, charging a small fortune as they can get away with it, using the wrong equipment and scaring people as result.
Like anything if your going to let someone lose on your skin you need to check they know their stuff?

And yes that was a pic of mr City in colour the girl i work with has tattoos all over her about her life or points that have been important to her in life.
