It does blow, I have a lot of bloatware on my phone, that is why I am using the task killer. I have already rooted it, which involves a new ROM with this phone... now I'm considering a completely new ROM, but I don't want to lose any features.

If you're rooted, grab the Pro version of Titanium Backup. Besides being an amazing backup proggy, you can "freeze" apps, so as far as the phone is concerned they no longer exist... but you can defrost them and they re-appear [thumbup]

Ditch the task killer for 2.2+... Unless you're isolating EXTREMELY specific apps, they will cause MORE battery drain due to the nature of some apps that will continue to restart once killed. Froyo introduced a much more efficient task manager, so the vast majority of reasons for 3rd party task killers were eliminated.
