Hopefully this means that the iphone features will come out faster since it's always been held back because AT&Ts service is so crap. eg 3G facetime.

With that said, because Verizon are CDMA it's understandable that Apple chose a provider initially that was GSM, as no one else in the modern world uses bloody CDMA any more (plenty of CDMA networks in 3rd world countries). So Verizon are a little backwards themselves too even though CDMA is known for great coverage.
