I'm from Australia, and its not available from the itunes store.. Only US users?

That would be a useful application to have.

That's still not pure text messaging, it sends texts through email. [thumbdown] and by the comments I learn that this app only works in the US and Canada.

I don't know what Apple are thinking seriously. So many apps out there pretending to do this exact thing, which they really don't (and that's a whole different story by itself), and Apple hasn't included this minor feature in any of their iOS updates.
