It's not like a core i7 920 that will give you the exact same performance as an i7 960 when overclocked.

There are indeed some other differences, like bigger brakes, bigger wheels/tyres, a limited slip differential, and possibly some minor engine changes. It's true that you can make a 135i very fast on the cheap though and you can pick up a decent second hand one to modify for far less than a new 1 series M coupe.

I can see the argument for getting a 135i.
