I knew, but I never really think about. I just love his voice. It's not overly operatic, but he has amazing range, tone, control, and sustain. I listen to his Christmas album all year long. He sounds amazing whether solo, with Sarah Brightman, or the Muppets. He's always brilliant.

Sogno is one of my very favourites. The note near the 3-minute mark always gets me.

He is really a crap singer, go ask a proper opera critic.

And if you completely disregard his voice, the music, his albums are pretty devoid of quality.

He's the Italian equivalent of Celine Dion, people just think it sounds better because it's in Italian.
