It really depends on how much the price drop is, and how soon after.

e.g - when I spent 1500 euro on my Bravia 2 years ago - the weekend after I bought it the shop I purchased it from did an action where they paid the BTW (tax) which was 19% on all TV purchases.

As the store in question had a 14 day returns policy I went back to the store that weekend and politely asked for the difference back. The alternative was that I returned the TV, then the moment the return had been processed I bought it again at the (lower) action price. For the sake of the hassle of processing a return they agreed to pay me the difference. Apparently a LOT of people had done exactly the same thing.

In this case I saw nothing wrong with doing that. On the other hand when I bought my laptop, it dropped in price by about 100 euro some 1.5 months later. That was simply a case of "oh well" - nothing I can do about it, and nothing I should do about it.
