Unless you have a forced induction engine that electronically controls boost, a ECU flash will do VERY little. Especially a factory approved flash. Perhaps 10 to 15 HP at the flywheel at best. Forced induction cars only get such a boost because, welll...it ups the BOOST.

Sporty is a term that gets applied to average cars to make them seem like sports cars. A car can be fun to drive, yet still slow as can be. My 93 Escort was that way. It was fun to flick it into a corner, get the tail to slide out a bit. But the stupid thing could still only do a 19.1 @ 71mph. Yes, this is verified, it was THAT slow. Slow enough that I could possibly lose a drag race against a Hummer H2.
What you say is true, but the Solara sport is just a little more than a sticker. There are other performance enhancements including ECU, suspension and appearance. Of course, this does not make it a 370 Z, but it's still quick for a 3500lbs car. The combination of style, class and performance is hard to beat in this class of car. [thumbup]

Here's a pic for kicks.

My car is not one of the affected by recalls so I'm not concerned. I also expect to be driving this car for many more years to come. I hope to garage it some day and break it out just in the summer when I'm like 50 yrs old.

Wow... this is totally off topic. What can I say? I like to talk about cars. :P
