On a more thread-related note, can you really tell the difference between the RAM speeds then? I've never tried it but I always assumed that for everyday use it wouldn't make much difference.

I'd think you'd be able to notice a decrease of RAM speed by half.

Also, since it is tied to the processor speed through FSB multiplier, you'd really be feeling it.
