Can someone tell what the actual attraction of getting drunk is? I do drink, but only occasionally, and when I do only a pint or two of Real Ale. I drink because I enjoy it, not to get pissed!

Getting drunk is nothing to be proud of, and it is a major cause of the problems in soceity. According to an article I saw on the news yesterday the NHS is struggling to cope with all the mess caused by drunkards!

Easier to say and do something you wouldn't normally do but might think of it as fun. Oh and if you have anxiety of existence which many people do, at least a few times in a life time it can feel easier to flow with the time.

And to be honest, getting drunk and having fun with friends is something to be proud of, however getting drunk because there's nothing else to do then start fighting is not.
