Default Nutrition buffs, a question for thee!
So like due to job changes and stuff I've drastically changed my diet, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's cheap, easy, and quick. The problem is that I'm taking in too few calories. Like.. 1000 or less... How I've managed this I'm not really sure.

For a fat guy that's not good. The problem is I can't find reliable info on the topic. Everything I read says something different. About the only thing most agree on is men shouldn't go under 1800. Too few calories and you'll burn muscle and slow your metabolism.

I've heard all sorts of stuff, like calories should = 10% of your weight (rofl 3000 calories). I'm trying to find a legit source of information. What are some websites that don't suck, and have solid information?
