I went on a 1000 calorie diet for about 3 months and I never felt healthier or stronger. I ate more vegetables and fruit, ate more often, and was much more active; running and biking at least 5 days a week.

Listen to what your body tells you and not what your tongue tells you. I think 1000 calories a day is great if you have fat to burn and you're getting enough vitamins and minerals out of that 1000 calories.

According to some calorie calculators, I burn about 3000-3500 calories a day just doing my normal thing, but I have plenty of stored fuel to burn.

If your 1000 daily calories consist of a single Double Grease Burger, then I'd say that's a bad deal.
