I kind of knew that, but had forgotton. A lot of the exit signs at my school when I was a kid glowed like that, and I was determined to see what made them work. I managed to get up close to one finally, and was working on taking it apart when I noticed all of the warnings.

I was very young, and was not quite sure what they meant, so I left it alone after that.
