You know, petty has one of the worst voices for singing possible. It is very scratchy with little range. It is a testament to just how good of a songwriter he is, that with very limited wiggle room he is able to make such good music.

Yea, he generally shouts instead of sings, but it some of his songs he has some decent range. I love the guy though. [yes]
