As was said earlier eat less salt, your body will draw in and retain less water, and your blood pressure will go down. If you know your chemistry or bio its because your body is a semipermiable membrane, once you let a lot of salt in your body liquids will tend towards staying in you rather than being excreted as they are attracted to the osmotic gradient of your body.
eat a normal amount of salt

if you exercise a lot an have a VERY low salt intake you will be prone to cramp

your joint will have less fluid around them and therefore wear more quickly on a very low salt diet IF you are exercising heavily
