It wouldn't make any difference. You'd just be converting from RGB to component and the quality would just be the same as what ever the RGB is.

Edit: Unless your TV doesn't have an RGB SCART input but does has component.

Edit#2: And that doesn't even say anything about RGB, just composite, which a crap connection in the first place.
