the Av switcher doesn't do converting basically its a very hand Component output switcher/router.

the Scart converter will do the job of converting and then its literally straight to the telly via component interconnect.

its only 25 quid tho

That's what I meant: the converter doing the converting. But it's only worth buying it if it converts RGB.

Edit: Don't expect HD quality though.
