Could you split open a scart lead and solder 3 male RCA plugs onto the scarts red green and blue wires?
As i could guess thats what this adapter is doing?

He wants to connect it to a component input, not RGB so that wouldn't work. Most probably it would also compromise image quality unless he does an extremely professional job.
