Dropped spindles also maintain suspension travel - prevents that sudden twitchiness when the suspension bottoms out.
Should be a beasy when it's back on the road - BTW, what's the running gear now - last I recall it was a T-56 and late small block?
Never went with the T56. Real life got me.

I'm either going to boost this LT1 to the moon, or drop a 5.3L LS based motor in from a newer GM truck. I'd kind of like to go the boosted route. a turbo charged LT1 should be good for almost 450rwhp if built right. And I love boost, so efficient! Though I'll likely only make about 400rwhp. If I do turbo this year it'll be a rear mount setup replacing the muffler with a turbo and piping the intake charge back up the car. Most of those setups are putting about 380rwhp down on a stock LT1
