Wow...may be they would fix those flaws in the pro one, but if it is like that I am keeping my HTC mogul
It's a bit deceiving to list all of the features of WinMo devices, because when you look at them in list form, on paper it blows the iphone out of the water. That is, until you actually use it. I've owned 4 WinMo devices before, with the latest one having version 6 as the OS, as well as used the HTC Touch. The problem lies in the fact that these "smart phones" are essentially PDAs with phone functionality. Constant freezes while being on the phone were just one of nagging problems, while others involved absolutely atrocious performance with a lot of apps installed.

Forget browsing the internet on one of these phones, because even when browsing in 3G the phone always seem like it is playing catch up. Pulling out a stylus virtually eliminates the "one handed use" I consistently use when iphone, not to mention that even the "improved" opera browser is still infuriating to navigate with. If there's a paragraph of text I wish to enlarge on the iphone, I simply double tap the screen and the text is now perfectly formatted and zoomed as if it were magic. There are no "font size" or "zoom" options, because they are pointless and arbitrary. I'll even venture to say that with a good Edge signal, the speed of my 1st Gen Iphone was not too far behind my 8525 when it had a 3G signal, due to the Safari browser and iphone performance being so much better.

To be honest, I don't really mind the incessant bashing my phone gets, because before I owned one, I was purchasing a new phone just about every 6 months. I too defended my WinMo devices, even though they had horrible performance and were bulky as hell to carry. "I like Windows," I would say, and enjoyed the flexibility of having a plethora of downloads at my disposal. However, once I got used to the seemless, near perfect interface, lack of freezes, ease of use, and what is probably one of the best MP3 players around (all packed into the phone), I couldn't go back. Then I bought the 3G iphone and downloaded version 2.0, and laughed as I realized I'll never own another phone again (that is, until the Iphone 3 is released).
