Well Circuit City doesn't seem to carry Pioneer so I would recommend the Samsung LN52A750, It's very likely the best LCD currently available, I have the 46" version in my living room, the blacks are as good as it gets for an LCD.

Yes indeed, that's the set I was thinking of. If you aren't bothered by ghosting, and with this panel's 4ms response time, you probably won't be, an LCD like this is a good choice (especially if you do a lot of gaming).

If you watch a lot of movies or SD cable broadcasts, a plasma might be better.
