The new Holden Commodore, and Vauxhall VXR8 are the exact same thing as the G8.

The Zeta platform is Australian designed, and they have had a hand in making all of the Zeta products so far. Though there is a Zeta plant now in China, and one is being flexible converted in Canada, so soon, Holden may not have a hand anymore with the platform becoming more diverse and moved outside of Australia.
I even do believe that GM had Holden help them work on the new ZR-1. If I remember correctly, all of the original spy shots of the new Corvette and Camaro were taken down under.

Though the Camaro will be built in Canada, but the G8 is currently made in Australia, just like its older GTO brother.
That completely didn't answer my question...

Is the Camero designed by the Holden team?

I already know the G8 is a Holden product.
