little of the back story, started just under 2 years ago with them now as my first job out of uni. doing software support for a local firm getting 12k a year, first job as a graduate

9 months later they ask me to take on a second product which i agreed to, variety in the job and they said they would review my pay.

roll on december just gone and again they said they would review my pay, then came feb and a roll came up for an it engineer at a company a mate worked for so i applied not thinking i would hear back. got an interview and went for the job but did not get but was offered the assitants job, same money as i am was on now but stayed where i was for the time being as it seemed the right thing to do

anyway finally had my appraisal a few weeks back and we discussed money and i said i was looking for a min of 14k, anyway today had the discussion from that. they said they got what i asked for and said they would up my salary to 13k at which pointed i corrected them saying i asked for 14, they reckoned i said 13 but i said 14

anyway that was the situation as was, i left it there as i am not great at on the spot confrontations. so having spent the evening very p*ssed off over this i shall be having words with my team leader, along the lines of i basically feel insulated at what has come of this. i worked over a year on the new product for no extra cash, that i feel its a battle to get anything done and to top it off i will be expected eventually to cover 2 additional products which are replacing the ones i currently support as well as them

so currently very annoyed and seriously considering my future with the company, its a shame as i do enjoy the people i work for and what i do most of the time. however they seem to give the impression they value me when speaking to them, however in this case i feel their actions speak louder than words
