Plus, with the Experience you have from 2 years of support plus the degree you're in an even better position. If you do really like the people you work with that much, make sure the company knows you're job hunting and if you get something else, they'll have to match that wage if they want to keep you won't they? Sounds to me like they're taking advantage in quite a serious way.

Then have them backdate it - if you're worth it now, you were worth it then.
