Also, if you don't pay your power bill, you get the power cut off. Why is that the electric company's fault? You'd think if your life depended on a stable supply you'd want to make sure that was paid, or at least get a battery backup or generator.
Main supplier of income sick in bed? Children not able to get money or work?

Not to sound harsh, but if you're in such a delecate situation, why do you not have some sort of generator/battery backup in place?

I mean, one lightning strike nearby and you could be off for days.

Power has gone off for over 6 hours 4 times in the last 3 months where I live.
Maybe the battery pack lasted 2 hours. If the power gets cut off from the power company, a battery is only going to last so long. Not like the power is going to come back anytime soon. Even if you get your bill paid you might have to wait a day or two.




Though you would think that she would have called the electric company or have some friends/neighbors to help care for her.
I wouldn't say that it is the power companies fault 100%, but when it comes down to it, they did kill her.
