Motivation is unfortunately not something you cannot buy. Ever ask yourself why you are motivated to do some things and not others? I think alot of it comes down to interest, if you are interested in the course work/subject then you will be more motivated to do it, however if you are bored out your mind and dont really care you wont really try. Thats why taking time out before you go into Uni is a good idea, give you chance to find what you really interested in and it will give you motivation when you go into the course to do the best you can.

Being out of the education system for a year couldnt hurt either, i know what a drag it can become, you will find yourself more motivated to study once you havent been doing it for awhile.

Who needs course/career advisors when you have FM?
