Two common tricks

1. Thinking that one has to perfect the inside (baatin/spiritual self) before following sunnahs on the outside (zaahir/physical self). ie how can I wear a hijaab when my heart is so filthy.

2. Thinking that Allah Ta'aala will not forgive one for the sins commited. This is a very dangerous trick of shaytan, and I've seen many threads on this topic, even one just yesterday. Shaytan uses this trick to completely take away the hope a person may have.
