That is an example of how sexual dimorphisim in humans has been decreasing relative to our primate cousins. Females have more freedom to seek non-procreation sex.

The question isn't about procreation...it's about why it's evolutionarily advantageous for us to have an 'open season' and all those nerve bundles. If it were just about procreation we could easily achieve that without all the wanton humping. We are such whores!!! Wanton humping is fine, it doesn't have to be advantageous. Unless it is significantly disadvantageous then evolution doesn't care. There are many factors involved, likely the development of our brain at the cost of other characteristics (such as a keen sense of smell) has changed our sexual behavior over time.
