@ the OP: Brother this type of situation is sadly prevalent in majority of Muslim households today, which is most definitely a major factor which has contributed to the decline of the ummah. Allah knows best.

There was a similar thread posted recently with a brother asking for advice about similar issues, Insha'Allah you may find some advice given in there beneficial.
