No offense, but why don't you want to serve in the jury? It is a citizen's civic right and duty. It exists for a reason. It is part of the check and balance system of the country. It was developed so that a single institution doesn't become too-powerful and consequently oppressive. If the Prime Minister is the prosecutor, judge, and executor then we have a possible tyrant in our hands.
Its because their 'laws' are most often not Shariah compliant.

Im in the US, so I dont know if things are different, but I get called for Jury dutyn all the time, and before you are selected, you have to fill out a questionaire. On every page of the questionaire I just wrote "Its against my religion to convict a person of a crime I did not witness" in big bold letters on every page. The lawyers who choose Jurrors see this and realise that if you are picked, you will be a problem jurror and cause either a mistrial or a innocent verdict no matter what, so they dont ever select me. The only problem is I have to spend 6 hours in a court room every 2 to 4 years for no reason.
