Perhaps you can tackle the issue of argumentation first then discuss about differences in the opinions. Stress on the importance of Good manners. they will understand.

I completely stressed humility along with knowledge.

But the elder lot did invite them after Ramadhan to talk about these issues with them...so Insha-Allah it does well.
