A genuine doubt: what would the US achieve by bombing the building No. 7 and making it collapse - except casting doubts whether themselves were behind the whole happenings?

I myself thing that this is one of the less explainable things if we were to go through the "official version" of the facts; but on the other side, if we take the CT, what's the use in having an un-related building collapse?

Maybe a plane was supposed to have hit it but did not work out.
