Brother Usama your assessment is incorrect. The majority of indian muslims identify themselves more with arabs than their hindu counterparts. Unfortuntely when they get treated the same as their non-muslim counterparts and they face regular discrimination then sometimes this leads to resentment. Unfortunetely many arabs do not classify indians as muslims. In the UAE I once phoned up a hospital and spoke to an arab expat secretary (not a uae national but a levantine arab). I told the secretary which doctors were available. The secretary mentioned some doctors and mentioned their nationalities and also mentioned that we have an indian. I asked the secretary if the indian was a hindu or a muslim and the secretary just shrugged off the question and stated that the doctor was an indian. Also I do not see the need for indians to try and integrate into emirati culture? What does arab culture have to offer? In our family in nearly each house we have 1 hafiz of quraan and a scholar. Name me how many arab/emirati families you know who are like this? I know some indian families and regions where every person is a hafiz of quraan and the majority of males grow full beards. Why should the indian muslims seek to imitate emiratis or other arabs for this matter when the majority are very far away from the sunah of Rasulullah sallwahsiaalam. Since you live in the UAE tell me how many men actually have a beard? A proper sunnah beard. I have a TV in my house but don't watch it. When I tell my arab friends that I don't watch TV they are amazed (I do have a TV in my house but ideally the TV should not be there). When I told an arab shaykh that a particular indopak shaykh forbids his students from watching TV he was amazed. Most arabs have made their qibla the satellite dish.

With regards to not learning arabic I agree that indopak people should try to learn arabic. The major problem comes is when the arabs themselves are not proud of their language and culture and are trying their best to imitate the kuffar. Why would somebody want to imitate a culture where the actual people are not even proud of their own culture? Most arabs I know are too busy perfecting their english and their english 'accent' and their arabic is very weak. Many non-arabs have a stronger understanding of the language especially related to the grammer/syntax.

Also brother Usama you have most likely met the people of kerala who make up the majority of the population of UAE. The people in many places like UP, Bombay etc do not wear kuffar attire. You will see most of them covering their heads with a kufi.
