Salaam! I've never usd 1 of these, 1st timer, but here we go, im confused! I've bee. Separated from my husband for over a year now, some people have told me that if a husband and wife stay apart for a period of time, automatically they are divorced and that they would have to do nikkah again if they were to get back together.....

Im not sure if this is true or not, that's why seeking for answers and advice on how to deal with this kind of a situation!

If there is anyone out there who could maybe shed some light on this matter, please get in touch!! thankyou!!!!

wasalam. sumone told you a lie! lol! no, even id you seperated with your husband for years nikah remains valid. nikah will only be terminated if your husband gives you talaaq or an aalim or sumeone pious annuls your marriage (dont know how they do it), but yeah you def not devorced if you seperated...
