Hazrat Ali (radhiallahu anhu) relates that the sunnah of Rasulullah (Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim) is to place one hand over the other below the navel. [Abu Daud, ch. on Wad’ul Yumna, Hadith 756]
