"Anyone else SICK of Salafi/Asha'ri Aqeedah wars on this forum?"

What makes me sick is that Wahhabis or closet-Wahhabis are being allowed to propagate their views here.

Takfir aside, that sentence implies Yusuf Estes is a part of Ahl al-Sunna (even though he attacks Ahl al-Sunna openly and spreads Wahhabi beliefs).

That's part of the problem on this forum - the unclear definition of who is a Sunni and who is not and a blurred line between Ahl al-Sunna and Ahl al-Bid'a that a lot of members seem to be spreading. The fitna is not members opposing Wahhabism - the fitna is that softening of the stance against Wahhabism is being allowed on this forum and members opposing this trend are attacked.

If that's a representation of today's Deobandi Maslak, then I'm beginning to understand the Barelwis and others lumping you all in with the Salafis!

If on the other hand those "Salafis are Ahl al-Sunna too" promoters are not representative of the Deobandi Maslak, then please clarify and stop having a "laissez-faire" attitude towards Wahhabi propaganda.

EDIT: Just found this quote in another thread (my underlining):

Allahumma ya Muqallib al-qulub, thabbit qulubana 'ala Dinik!
Assalamoualaikoum

In no way we are similar to the Wahabi. We don't make takfir on them because we consider them as Muslims though not part of Ahlus Sunna. I read a post that Shaykh Habib Ali al Jifri also does not make takfir on them.

But I agree with you that they (the salafi) should be tackled if they are caught spreading their beliefs. What we should do is to flag such threads, when we come across them, to the attention of the moderators so that they can take the necessary actions.

And Allah Ta'ala knows best
